Sports halls
Along with Ashville Sports Centre’s other facilities, we have two, fully sized sports halls, perfect for any type of indoor sporting activity, hosting events, celebrations or summer camps.
Prices start from £25 per hour for sports hall hire, and £12.50 for badminton.
Sports hall 1
Our first sports hall is the largest of the two, offering a perfect space for netball, football, cricket (with indoor nets), badminton or basketball. We also allow the use of roller skates in Sports hall 1, due to its wooden floor.
Sports hall 1 also encompasses a viewing area which allows for above-game-level viewing of the sports hall. It’s the perfect space for parents and/or spectators to watch without causing interruption to the games taking place.
Sports hall 2
Our second sports hall is perfect for any indoor sports which require a ‘springier’ floor.
We use Sports hall 2 primarily for badminton, basketball, netball and football. However, we have previously hosted a range of other events and sports in Sports hall 2, such as fencing competitions or high jumping.
Sports hall 2 is also the most preferable to host self-catered events, such as parties, due to its overlooking pavillion with its own fridge and kitchen facilities. The pavillion also contains seating and tables, with access to an outdoor balcony which overlooks Ashville College’s cricket pitches.

Ashville Sports Centre pool is a Harrogate hidden gem! It is so reasonably priced for such a large pool and modern changing facilities. I started coming to swim a few years ago, on a pay as you go basis, when I was training for the Great North Swim. Now I am a full member and regularly take advantage of both the pool and gym facilities.
